it's halloween time!

Today is officially Bella's second Halloween, but her first one she was only a month old and slept the entire time. This year she's going to be a ladybug - the cutest ladybug you have even seen! We carved her tiny pumpkin last night, and she acted like she knew what she was doing. She would scoop out the seeds and all of the nasty orange gunk, and throw it into the bowl. Every few scoops she was over throwing it in the bowl, and decided that eating it would be much more fun.

We are going to take her out tonight trick-or-treating with her cousin Makenzie, who will be dressing up as a pumpkin. Then we plan on having chili at Nana and Pop Pop's house - (my mom makes boooommmmb chili). I will definitely post pictures of my little ladybug later :)

Last night I spent about 4 hours crafting for Isabella's birthday party. I am so excited, and kinda sad at the same time...my baby is going to be ONE in a few weeks! I feel like she was just in my tummy, and sometimes it looks like she's still in my tummy - need to keep running :) The theme for her party is "under the sea" - the center pieces are going to look something like this: (obviously with a '1' and not a '2')



Last night Stephen and I took Bella to the park down the street from our place and took some photos of her for her birthday invitations. I must say that my photography skills / editing skills are getting a lot better (Stephen has been teaching me a few tricks on photo shop). While we were at the park I just kept thinking about how lucky I am to have such an amazing family. Bella is seriously the sweetest and most beautiful baby in the world - bias, I think not. To see this little 19 pound princess run around the park, yelling and pointing at everyone and everything makes me proud. Ha! She's 11 months old now, she's walking (attempting to run), saying a few words, knows who her mom and dad are, understands "NO"...doesn't like it though :)...eats pasta for dinner, drinks out of a straw, waves bye-bye, gives kisses (on command too!)...what more can I ask for? She's the absolute best. Although, her latest trick is stomping her feet and screaming when I take something away from her - it's really kind of cute, but I have a feeling that in about 2 years, I'm not going to like it so much...

Okay, back to work I go...thank goodness today is "my Friday"...I am taking tomorrow off, and I can honestly say that I need it. I plan on spending my entire day hanging out with miss Bella Boo...who knows we might end up at the park, or heck - maybe even Disneyland! Ha, kidding - her dad would be so pissed if I took her there for the 1st time without him.

I'm blogging...finally.

I have been inspired by my best friend to start a blog. Really I want to have this blog as something to look back on, and not have to worry whether or not I lose my journal (ok, so I don't have a journal - I mainly write things down in Isabella's baby book).

Here's what's new in my life since ummm...after high school?? ha!

1. I graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 2007

2. I married the most amazing man in the world on 4/11/2009.

3. We had our beautiful daughter, Isabella on 9/30/2010. She is also my main focus of my blog...she is learning so many new things, and developing so many new skills, I want to make sure that I keep track of all of this (besides what I write in the baby book).
